heck yeah! friggin awesome show. I'm all caught up (s02e08) and man, I feel like the flood gates just opened. Like the world map went from that little circle around the player to REALLY BIG (but almost all of it still unexplored/dark area). it's already so good and I feel like it's about to get even better.

I am a few episodes behind right now (s02e06) but it has definitely taken off. No point in trying to foreshadow on my own because I am probably going to be wrong. I am looking forward to the next episodes for sure!

Can I get a plot summary? I prefer to binge rather than watching something current and having to wait a week between episodes or, worse, months between seasons. But you guys talk about this show so much, maybe I will have to give it a go.

you can get your brain split so that when you get to work, your other self works. your work self has no idea about your outside self and vice-versa. so think about company secrets having no concern of them leaking and for the person, they walk in the door for work and next thing they know, they are walking right back out!

now imagine the worker selves start believing they have rights (HEY! WE HAVE RIGHTS, TOO!)

there's A TON MORE, but that's a really broad generic nothing specific at all teaser about it. There's tons of issues that come up with being split brained and it's just really really well done all around. I fear telling more because I don't want to give away anything.

I'll do my best:

LUMON Industries has created a way for a human to "sever" their brain from work vs not at work. We follow several employees through their inne (severed work state) and outie (normal outside state) lives has they try to understand (and cope) with what each version of themselves is doing and the moral and ethical dilemmas presented by their employer, boss, coworkers, and family.

If you do start it, understand the first 4 episodes are slog to get through. It picks up momentum until the season ending, which is well worth it. The first season has some elements that could be considered sensitive for some folks (suicide) but other than that its a fucking WILD ride. A+ would watch again and again (I already do).
