First smash the meat kinda stuck to the parchment paper I used:

Second smash got it right:

Cheese added. Didn't know we were out of American, had to use Provolone:

Look at my buns:

Burger sauce and lettuce on the left top bun, double-patty and pickles on the left:

Pro Tip: Wrap your burgers up like they do in fast food. This also applies to most other sandwiches made at home. Trust.

Highly recommend it! Obviously works best with a griddle, not sure how a skillet would do I've always used a griddle. I need an actual patty smasher, I used some parchment paper lightly sprayed with cooking spray and then a small cooking pot to smash it down. It works, but not the best.

But man, you get those nice crispy edges like a proper smashburger at a restaurant. I use a glass bowl to cover the patties to melt the cheese while the bun toasts.... it's so good.
