To your point about the iPad generation: there is such a lack of the basics anymore, and everything has been obfuscated so much, that it does make me worry a bit for the field in general. Now, that same generation has access to even more tools like AI. Entire careers are being made in the IT field without ever having to learn how anything actually works.
